Dean and I first met in May of 2023. He was living in California at the time, and flew out to Tennessee in August that year, when we officially met face to face. We had so much in common including wanting to start a podcast, so we decided to do it together. Though both our journeys were marked by pain, loss, and challenges we never expected, one thing we had in common is we could both look back and see how God showed up. He was working in every situation, reminding us that redemption is real, grace is abundant, and healing is possible. My own story is one of learning to lean on God through storms—losing my father at 13, navigating the complexities of raising children with serious medical conditions, including grand mal seizures, mitochondrial disease, Aspergers, KD, T1D and heart defects, to name a few. Every challenge brought me closer to understanding that healing isn’t about erasing the past, but using what I've learned to navigate the present and create a better future. 

Dean’s journey is one of restoration—years of searching for something to fill the emptiness left by broken relationships led him down a difficult road. But a few years ago, he chose sobriety and found his way back to God. Through surrender and grace, he learned that true healing comes from letting go and trusting in something greater than what he could see.  Crazy Stupid Healing is a space to share real stories of faith, resilience, and transformation.
