Practicing Gratitude

I've started my gratitude journal again. I list 10 things I'm grateful for every day (at least 10), and usually, that 10 turns to 20 or more. Every day, when my mind starts to worry, wander, or doubt my path, I redirect it to gratitude. I look around me, I think about my family, friends, food, car, bed....whatever...you get the gist...and say to myself, or out loud, how grateful I am for..." ".
It keeps my mind subconsciously focused on the good, the light, the joy, the peace....the BLESSINGS! And yes, it really works!
So I've decided to dedicate my blog to my blessings, thoughts, and gratitude.
No matter what is happening around you, you can find one thing to be grateful for. Even if it's merely the breath in your lungs!
I am challenging anyone who reads this to start a habit of gratitude. Start a gratitude journal! Purposefully find the blessings in your life, and watch how everything changes.
Today, I'm grateful for my family, my friends, the rain, for peaceful mornings on the porch, for coffee (and cream;), and our tuxedo cat, Jazzy.
