Truth is Peace

1 John 1:9
1 John 1:9

I used to think forgiveness meant allowing people to stay in my life, even after they had used, abused, or gossiped about me. But I’ve come to understand that true forgiveness doesn’t mean staying in unhealthy spaces—it means letting go, setting boundaries, and moving forward with peace.

God calls us to forgive, not for the sake of those who hurt us, but so we can be free. Free from offense. Free from resentment. Free to live unburdened. Forgiveness is for us. It’s how we remain unoffendable and keep our hearts soft, even when others try to harden them. Be unprovokable, be unoffendable. Be transparent. Get to know who God is and He'll show you where you belong.

I know that people who've hurt or betrayed me or others, whether they acknowledge it or not, display actions that reflect an internal war that’s not mine to fight. My role? Mercy. And sometimes, mercy looks like simply setting a boundary, cutting my losses, forgiving the offense (no matter how malicious), shutting the door, and walking away.

Jesus told His disciples, “If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.” (Matthew 10:14) That wasn’t just about rejection—it was about release.

We are not called to carry the weight of someone else’s choices. We are called to dust off our sandals and move forward, unshaken.

So today, I choose forgiveness...even for those who will never admit the wrong. Not because they deserve it, or asked for it, but because God commands it—and because I refuse to let offense take root where only peace should grow.

He covers what we confess...He reveals what we conceal.

God is the truth and the light. All things come to light in due time. BELIEVE IT!! Trust God's timing and walk in HIM...
